      Web Women Giving

Web Women Giving Circle Founder Joeann Fossland is a master coach and international speaker. She is also an avid blogger and has brought her philanthropic drive to the blogosphere in an unprecedented Virtual Tour to raise money for CARE. We are pleased and proud that she is here to speak with us today.

      1.   Ultra luxury clients are often philanthropists, sometimes on a very large scale. What can we do to touch this group in a way that would motivate them to provide a donation to CARE?

Joeann: You are right. Many wealthy clients have a wonderful orientation with giving. Isn't it interesting to see the dynamic of The Law of Attraction manifested? I also think it enhances our stature in the real estate industry when our clients hear that we are involved in charitable activities. Spreading the word though our newsletters and blogs and on social networking venues are great ways to disseminate this information.

      2.  A great way to market luxury listings is to hold a charitable fund raiser at the home. How would you go about arranging such a fund raiser working with the both the owners and the staff at CARE.

Joeann: This is such a great idea, since differentiation is the name of the game to build a business persona. I would be happy to provide information PERSONALLY for anyone who wants to do this. We have an artist, Paulette Long, who is a member of the Web Women Giving Circle, who is painting 20 paintings, with all the proceeds going to CARE. An agent could partner with a local artist and have a showing at the open house with all sales benefiting CARE.  Materials with information about CARE can be obtained  directly from them or printed from their website.

      3.  Many agents struggle with what to do for a gift for the luxury client. One suggestion is to find out what their favorite charity is and then make a donation. How might you market this idea to your luxury clients to have them think that it's their idea? Send out a nice holiday card with a Return stamped envelope  and a card that says, "This holiday season I'm personally making donations on behalf of my clients to CARE. If you would like me to make a donation on your behalf, please check here.

Joeann: This is a great idea!

      4.  What other strategies work well at the holidays to raise money for hungry women and children?

Joeann:  I think that in our communications over the holidays we are often reminded of the spirit of the occasion. We can share those reminders with our clients.

The spirit of the holidays has lessons that we can all share with our youngsters. It is important for them to understand that they are blessed with a certain abundance that is not evident in all corners of this earth. Sharing even a small piece of that abundance can provide food on an otherwise empty table, medicine to a sick child, and offer tools of empowerment where there are none. The holidays are a time when these lessons are couched in moments of love and joy. We can make "sharing" a "tradition" of the holidays, and something to plan and look forward to year after year.
