While pool halls are considered to be low brow, the ultra rich have always had billiard tables in their homes and their private clubs. I was looking at the Robb Report and they had several pictures of some very interesting billiard tables. I was curious as to what I could find on the web.
One of the most interesting sites I found was at Tschirhart's. They specialize in the sale of antique billiard tables as well as restoration. The table they restored in the picture here was used in "The American President" with Michael Douglas.
In contrast to the highly formal look of the tables on the Tschirhart's site, Aspen Rustic Billiards combines high quality with a rustic approach, perfect for that chalet in the Rockies.
The most fascinating tables, however, were from a company called Billiards by Design. Their high tech tables are nothing short of spectacular. Who would have ever thought of a billiard table as being an artform?

Hi
In the Middle most pool tables come in basements. In the West, most pool tables are either in the studio or a converted garage. In the last 10 years we have installed a large number of pool tables in the living room. Several pool tables turn into dining tables and are in the dining rooms. These tables convertible can also be used in offices, and conference tables. Whichever room you choose make sure you have enough space around the table. Better to have a smaller table and be able to use the control signals for a larger table and using shorter signals. 5 'around a pool table is ideal. If your insurance if a table matches your room with your local dealer and see if they come out to your house and give his expert opinion as to what the room might suggest.
Thanks

While I enjoy a good game of billiards I would never have thought a table could look so good. Those from Billiards by Design are truly stunning. Now that is a table that any luxury homeowner would be proud to show off.
